The historic schooner Sylvina W. Beal was launched in East Boothbay , Maine in 1911Constructed by Maine shipwrights with oak framing & oiled wood decks , the Sylvina W. Beal is the last surviving  working sail vessel designed for the herring fisheries .  78' on deck & 84' length over all ,  the Sylvina W. Beal affords guests a unique experience to step back in time and enjoy a leisurely day sail along the downeast coast & Acadia .

Enjoy a trip on our historic watercraft from a bygone era! Sail from Bar Harbor aboard the 84-foot Schooner Sylvina W. Beal for a spectacular 4 hour  cruise among the islands of Frenchman's Bay. You won't want to miss this unique Maine experience.

The cruise features an interesting narrative of local history, geographical points, and wildlife, as we look for bald eagles, seals and porpoises. Bring your binoculars!

As the afternoon goes on, the cruise becomes generally a livelier, more exhilarating sail among the islands of Frenchman Bay, because of the stronger afternoon sea breezes. Relax, have a picnic or help us hoist the sails!
